Choosing to get a girl back tattoo has both some positives as well as negatives.
Many women have chosen the low center area of the back to place their chosen design. While that specific area has some advantages to it, there are important disadvantages one should consider before choosing a girl back tattoo.
The Positives:
Displaying with current clothing trends, is a great positive for this area of placement. With low cut jeans, this placement can be ideal for displaying. Placed in the low center area of the back has the advantages of being both subtle yet very noticeable when seen. And it also can be covered when desired.
The Negatives:
Unfortunately the lower center girl back tattoo has been heavily played out and has become overly trendy. Many girls have followed the trend, and it has become more of a fad than an original idea for placement.
Also, slang terms such as "tramp stamp" have begun to emerge for females wearing the back tat in the low center area. Some have even said that in 40 years that slang term will be replaced by "gramp stamp" playing on the idea that the huge number of elderly women will still be donning the permanent ink in their later years. It may be a nasty slang term, and I'm sure many women will rise above it if they truly feel their ink belongs in the back area.
The Alternatives:
Alternatives for this placement, could include side body placement, upper shoulder/back placement, or even a low back mural design which would be a bit different than the standard girl back tattoo. Chess McDoogle
